The Wolfsägertal nature reserve in Rheinland-Pfalz, protected since 1983, is a vital habitat along the Fischbach. This includes the unique floating leaf areas and transitional wetland zones in the impoundments, particularly in the Nollenkopf pond, as well as the diverse flora within the Fischbach itself and in the surrounding sedge and meadow areas.
