Summary
The area of around 17 hectares was placed under protection in 1988 and is located to the south of the local community of Börfink. It stretches along the Hengstbach stream, which flows along the southern edge of the protected area and is a right tributary of the Traunbach stream. The L 165 state road borders the area to the north and east.
