Summary
Nature reserves constitute one of the most important conservation categories in Germany and Austria. The exact definitions vary, but together they combine the conservation of natural landscape, the protection of endangered species and the preservation for scientific interests.
Description
Das Naturschutzgebiet "Warmtal" liegt in einem verzweigten, nach Süden bis Südosten offenen Tal. Es umfasst Freiflächen und verbuschte, bzw. bewaldete Hänge der Talränder im oberen Warmtal auf nährstoffarmem Zementmergel. In dem Gebiet sind charakteristische Biotoptypen der Schwäbischen Alb in besonders schutzwürdiger Ausprägung vorhanden: (ehemalige) Wacholderheide, Halbtrockenrasen (Magerrasen bodensauer und basenreicher Standorte), Trockenrasen, Gebüsche und Säume trocken-warmer Standorte, Buchenwälder trocken-warmer Standorte und Kiefernwälder auf Mergel- und Kalkstandorten.

Cycling activities
Cycling is forbidden on unpaved agricultural and forestry roads.
In the nature reserve there it is forbidden to ride bicycles other than on paved paths at least 2 m wide.
Horse riding activities
Horse riding is only allowed on public roads.
Horse-drawn vehicles (carriages) are forbidden.

Motor vehicles are forbidden.
Stay activities
Camping is forbidden.
Camping and bivouacking is forbidden.
Camping with vehicles and trailers is forbidden.

Disposing of waste is forbidden.
Fire is forbidden.
Weiter ist es verboten, außerhalb amtlich gekennzeichneter Feuerstellen Feuer zu machen oder zu unterhalten.
Dogs on a leash are allowed.
Cutting or injuring trees is forbidden.
Collecting plants is forbidden.
Mushroom collecting is forbidden.
Feeding animals is forbidden.
Photography and filming is forbidden.
Noise (tape recorders, players) is forbidden.
