The nature reserve Saarsteilhänge am Kaiserweg is located in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 120.92-hectare area was placed under protection by decree on 12 June 1992 and extends directly along the east-flowing Saar between the local community of Taben-Rodt in the north and Saarhölzbach, a district of the community of Mettlach, in the south. It forms part of the lower Saar valley and is characterised by ravine and hillside forests, rocky slopes and near-natural stream valleys.
