Description
The Langhöll-Falkenberg nature reserve is situated in the picturesque Nordpfälzer Bergland in Rheinland-Pfalz, near the community of Alsenz. Established in 1999, this protected area encompasses the distinctive southwest slopes known as Langhell, leading up to the Falkenberg, a prominent pre-summit of the higher Spannagel mountain. The area's natural features also include the Talergraben stream, which flows westward towards the Alsenz valley, contributing to the diverse landscape. This reserve is dedicated to preserving the unique natural characteristics of this part of the Donnersbergkreis, offering a glimpse into the region's geological and hydrological formations.
