The Vorberg Landscape Protection Area is located on the southern edge of the Karwendel, on the eastern foothills of the Halltal and Vomperberg ranges between Absam and Schwaz. Numerous hiking trails, paths and a forest nature trail east of St. Martin attract many hikers to the Karwendel Nature Park. Also used as a local recreation area for the provincial capital, the protected area offers numerous, varied landscape forms, such as rugged cliffs, striking wall formations (southern walls of the Bettelwurf) and gorges with waterfalls (Fallbach waterfall), which invite hikers on family-friendly hiking trails.
