Description
The Landscape Protection Area is located on the eastern edge of the Karwendel and borders on the valley cut of Lake Achensee. It essentially comprises the valley floors of the Falzthurntal (about 7 km long) and the Gerntal, which can be reached effortlessly on asphalt toll roads west of Pertisau. In between are prominent mountains such as the Gütenbergkopf (1665 m) and the Feilkopf (1562 m).
