The Kirchweiler Rohr nature reserve is located on the territory of the local communities of Hinterweiler and Kirchweiler in the Vulkaneifel district of Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 40.5-hectare area was placed under protection by decree on 20 November 1990 and extends northwest of Kirchweiler, west of Hinterweiler and east of Berlingen along the Berlinger Bach, a tributary of the Kyll. The purpose of protection is the conservation and further development of a wetland area with reed beds, small and large sedge meadows, marsh marigold meadows and near-natural watercourse ecosystems.
