The Einsiedel gravel pit is an important conservation area for amphibians and moisture-loving plant species.
The nature reserve primarily serves to protect the wetlands as an important habitat for rare and endangered plants and amphibians in particular. The former gravel pit in the Nassau Nature Park is an important amphibian area and makes an important contribution to species and biotope protection by providing diverse wetland habitats that also provide a habitat for rare, moisture-loving plant species.
