Summary
The Im Bühnchen nature reserve near Peffingen in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm serves to protect the almost vegetation-free Keuper grasslands and the extensively utilised calcareous grasslands with adjoining shrubs and orchards, which are of great importance as a habitat for numerous thermophilic and highly endangered animal and plant species, especially many insect species.
