The Halbinsel Fahrenbrink nature reserve safeguards a valuable pasture landscape featuring salt meadows, along with the adjacent shore and shallow water areas of the Gristower Wiek. This area, stretching between Riemserort and Gristow, serves as a crucial habitat for specialized plants and animals. The unique salt meadow grasslands are particularly significant, hosting a diverse flora adapted to brackish conditions. The undisturbed water surfaces also provide an essential resting place for numerous bird species. From an elevated viewpoint at the entrance to Riemserort, visitors can appreciate the natural beauty of the peninsula and observe its rich biodiversity.
