Summary
The purpose of protection includes the preservation and development of an area characterized by a diverse pattern of use, including vineyard plots of varying management intensity, orchards, scrub and fringe habitats, forest and forest edge areas, dry stone walls, and vineyard terraces. Another focus is on the preservation and development of the area as a habitat for rare plant species and plant communities, as well as a living space for rare and sometimes endangered animal species.
