The Haardtrand – Am Hasenberg nature reserve is located in the district of Südliche Weinstraße in Rhineland-Palatinate. The purpose of protecting this area is to preserve and develop a diverse landscape characterized by a mosaic of different types of land use. This includes vineyards with varying degrees of cultivation intensity, orchards, and shrub and fringe biotopes. The area also includes forest and forest edge areas, dry stone walls, and vineyard terraces, all of which contribute to a unique landscape worthy of protection.
