Summary
The Am Vogelgesang nature reserve is located in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate. The area of around 8.5 hectares was placed under protection in 1986 and is located south-east of the local community of Frei-Laubersheim and south-west of Neu-Bamberg. The purpose of the protection is to preserve the occurrence of rare and highly endangered plant species as well as rare animal species and to maintain the site conditions and the population of thermophilic plant communities and animal communities on porphyry rock soil.
