Naturpark Wildeshauser Geest is characterized by a fascinating and diverse landscape: small rivers and creeks meander through meadows and forrests. Together with moorland, relics of the once dominating heathland and sand dunes they form the character of the region. Due to its high value for nature many of these areas are protected by law. Picturesque avenues, ancient megalithic tombs and charming towns set cultural accents.
