The "Büsenbachtal" in Wörme is one of the most diverse and charming heath landscapes in the district of Harburg.

Descriptif

The area includes the heath valley of the Büsenbach as well as adjacent and neighboring forest areas. Notable features are the near-natural, largely unaltered stream courses of the Büsenbach and Kaiserbach, including their sources, extending to the natural stream sink in a richly structured, relief-rich open to semi-open valley at the edge of the Lohberge. These represent remnants of a once vast historic heath landscape. Additionally, parts of the "Wörmer Wälder" are included, some of which are significant relics of historical forest use with regional importance.The particularly diverse and, in some areas, authentically preserved mosaic of characteristic structures from an old, culturally and historically outstanding heath and forest landscape defines the unique richness, distinctiveness, and beauty of the Büsenbachtal and Wörmer Wälder. The area has a long-standing, high to very high value for peaceful, nature-based recreation. Due to its exceptionally species-rich and highly specialized flora and fauna, as well as its scientific, natural history, and regional significance, it is one of the most important protected areas in the district of Harburg.
