The Entenmoor Moitin Nature Reserve, established in 1979 and expanded in 1995, is a valuable natural area in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Its primary purpose is the preservation of a unique inundated kettle bog, a special feature of the landscape. Equally important is the careful maintenance of the adjacent grassland areas. Together, these areas form a significant habitat for a rich and diverse array of birdlife. The site is classified under EU law as both a Natura 2000 (FFH) site and a Special Protection Area (SPA), underscoring its high ecological importance.
