Entry to Swiss wildlife refuges is prohibited during certain times of the year as well as on special occasions. For some wildlife refuges, prohibition of entry is a mere recommendation, while for others it is strictly prohibited by law and punishable in the case of violation.

Wildlife quiet zones may only be used for leisure activities on official paths during certain seasons - or in some cases throughout the year.
